Driving 101
Ok, let’s talk about the basics:
- Turn signals are not for the driver’s convenience…but for those around you
- Cruise control is a wonderful feature to use…especially on the highway. It keeps you from being the peripheral driver – that person who speeds up as soon as they see someone getting ready to pass them.
- That long skinny pedal under your right foot is used to maintain the speed limit…if you’re not driving the speed limit get in the right-hand lane when you’re on the highway.
- Headlights should be turned on before dusk or dawn. Not only for the benefit of those around you, but also so you can see your dashboard.
- Don’t anticipate a stoplight turning red, by taking your foot off the gas when you still have plenty of time to stop if it does turn red.
- It’s great you want to hear the radio, but you REALLY don’t have to blast the bass.
